Pip Guthrie – The Path of the Dart: Whai-tara

Pip Guthrie, Taranaki photographer, has created a visual essay that explores the journey of Whare Matangi who followed a magic dart from Kāwhia to Waitara in search of his father, a local chief, Ngārue. This exhibition runs from November 3rd 2018 through to December 6th 2018.

This exhibition gathers a group of people who whakapapa to Mōkau. They have come together to support Mōkau, holding onto a connection that draws them back to the river.
