About this objectGreen ribbon with silver lettering saying Transit New Zealand Ararau Aotearoa. This is a piece of the official ribbon that was cut when opening the second Mokau River Bridge on the 30th March 2001.
The official party included from Transit NZ, Mr Colin Naggs; local rangatira, Mr Bill Waho; one of Mokau's oldest citizens, Mr Stan Warren; MP Shane Arden (Taranaki-King country 1998-2014); MP Mr Harry Duynhoven (New Plymouth Electorate 1993-2008); and Mr Pat Sheen who was at the opening of the first Mokau Bridge in 1927.
